Image Description
A mass of piercing blue irises, buds, and pods, atop their bright green stalks. This colorful flora springs from an abstracted background of autumn color.
Behind the Scenes
I painted this using a reference photo I took during one of my many painting excursions to the Eklutna wild flowers fields, not too far from my home in Wasilla, Alaska. The painting practically painted itself as I realized that the entire life cycle of the iris was represented in the image--from bud to seed. My eyes opened to the vastness of beginning and end all at the same time in the same place, from the same source. I added the light orb in the background to represent the Source of all life.

- 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀: I collaborate with printing facilities that adhere to fair labor practices, ensuring that every person involved in the process is treated with respect and paid fairly.
By outsourcing to trusted professionals, we can focus on creating unique, high-quality art while ensuring that every step of the production process aligns with ethical standards.
