Image Description

"Fruit of the Vine" is an original landscape of the Sokol Blosser winery by Oregon impressionist Talya Johnson.

Behind the Canvas

Imagine the determination and confidence it would take to plant a vineyard in a place where no wine industry was currently present. Such was the beginning of Sokol Blosser, a successful family owned and operated estate and winery on Dundee Hills of Oregon.

I could feel that pioneering spirit as I gazed at the acres of neat vineyard rows. So much beauty to take in! Not rugged and untamed like the landscapes I've grown accustomed to, but quiet, confident, and fertile with hope and expectation of a bright future.

I put my brush to the linen having little idea as to where the painting would lead me. I was drawn to the hopeful energy manifest in the tantalizing S curves dancing through the rows. This painting emerged as the clouds parted during the early evening light. While not an exact representation of this green, sustainable estate, I believe it has captured the hopeful energy and confidence of the land that has born the best of the fruit of the vine.

  • 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀: I collaborate with printing facilities that adhere to fair labor practices, ensuring that every person involved in the process is treated with respect and paid fairly.

By outsourcing to trusted professionals, we can focus on creating unique, high-quality art while ensuring that every step of the production process aligns with ethical standards.
